The Niemeyer Centre is an exponent of cultural activity in Avilés and Asturias. The Asturian city can boast of having the only work by the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer in Spain.
The buildings that make up this cultural complex have Niemeyer's stamp on all their structures and designs: the auditorium, the tower and the dome are a good example of this, all of them within a square measuring 22,000 m².
In addition to its spectacular architecture, the Niemeyer has multi-purpose spaces for holding events of all kinds.
